Ryan Patrick, BITS Chief Technology Officer
With the majority of the workforce being forced to work from home, this is new to a lot of people. Embrace this opportunity, and try to keep your routine as close to normal as you can. And let’s be honest, the commute is much better, so use that extra time wisely.
Since we started BITS 15 years ago, we always wanted to ensure our team had the ability to work remotely as needed, with a good part of our team working from home on a regular basis. From someone like myself, I’ve always liked the flexibility of working remotely when I need to focus without distraction and going into the office when I want to interact with the team and work projects together.
Now that I’ll be working from my home office (which is also my home gym and hockey storage room — I’m immune to the smell) for the next few weeks, I knew I had to keep the same mentality I’ve had in the past.
I hope a couple of these tips are helpful not just to the team here at BITS, but all of our customers now in the same situation.
Ryan’s Tips for a Productive Day at Home.
It’s important to keep the balance of work and life, and when you are at home all day, that line is blurrier than ever. I hope you find these tips useful to help yourself or others.
I’m always looking for ways to improve the balance of work and life and to be more productive and get shit done, feel free to share your ideas, comments, and thoughts…
