As we finish the summer, BITS continues its successful acquisition of clients. We are expanding our base as we grow within our newer geographic regions. Part of our ability to grow so aggressively is a result of the outstanding recommendations we get from our existing base of happy clients. Thank you all for your willingness to share your positive BITS experiences with our prospects.
Client Visits – I have been spending a great deal of time the last few months visiting our clients. I appreciate everyone’s willingness to accommodate my requests to see you. The first thing I have noticed is how happy everyone is with our day-to-day service. Customer service is extremely important to us, and it is heartening to find we are meeting your expectations here. The biggest challenge I have been hearing from clients is concerns about things we can do to help improve their security.
BITS now SOC 2 Type 2 Compliant – In keeping with your desire for improved security, we are improving our compliance structure. BITS decided to transition our reporting structure from a SOC 2 Type 1 to a SOC 2 Type 2 report. We felt it was important to put even more rigor in our compliance posture, to further assure our clients that our environment will continue to protect their most important assets. In addition, BITS will continue to expand our security portfolio with more advanced security tools, reports, and security consulting capabilities. Preparing for new Voice Platform – In an effort to continue offering the latest products and services, BITS will be upgrading its voice platform. To be able to use this software, all our clients need to be on our service provider dial plan. This upgrade will be fully managed by the BITS team with additional support from Cisco during the entire process. There is no current action required by any of our customers. This type of regular modernization is essential to both keep our clients safe, as well as enabling new features and functions to help improve your own service to your clients.
More Collaboration Products Available – One of the requests we receive from clients is to improve their ability to integrate across systems and improve their collaboration capabilities. To that end, we have recently made available Unified Jabber (Presence and Instant Messaging). This solution lets people see if employees are available to talk, enabling messaging, presence, and click-to-dial a phone. These capabilities better integrate the client desktop with the phone system, improving the ability to communicate and collaborate, both internally and with clients.
Plan to Attend Connected Live, our Second Annual Technology Conference – We had such a positive response to our first technology conference last year, that we are happy to announce our second annual conference, now branded as Connected Live. It will take place in Long Branch, NJ on 1-2 November. This is a beautiful location on the Jersey Shore, yet easily reachable from NJ Transit. We have already received strong response and anticipate even more participation this year. The conference is a great opportunity to learn about our upcoming services, the latest industry trends in networking, collaboration, and security, as well as a fantastic way to share your experiences with fellow technology professionals. We hope to see many of you there! Formal registration will be out in late August.
