The network lays the foundation for communications, collaboration, and applications is the critical component for every financial institution. The BITS solution enables the secure transmission of data, voice and Internet traffic between all customer locations, over an encrypted network. Each customer is setup with their own private network, to ensure that traffic between each location is kept secure and separate from any other customer.

Our network architecture provides connectivity options for primary and secondary circuits to your office/branch locations. Using leading telecommunications providers and technologies, we can deliver both private and virtual private network solutions to any location. Offerings range from MPLS, Point-to- Point, Private Ethernet, and broadband service connections. With two (or more) connections to a location, we offer a fully dynamic and automatic fail-over solutions, helping customer mitigate network downtime.

We enforce security best practices in every solution. We encrypt and protect all data traffic with the latest approved government security protocols. Encryption occurs across all network topologies Internet, MPLS, or point-to-point, providing secure transmission of your data over any connection to our datacenters.

An extensive vendor network

BITS connects to almost 100 different vendors and service providers, including Internet Service Providers and network carriers. In addition, we have established redundant and secure connections to most financial service providers in the industry, including Core Processors and ATM, providers. We act as the aggregation point for financial institution’s connectivity. By connecting to BITS – you will connect to a significant number of telecom and service providers in the industry.

Security is our number one priority

Protecting your financial institution from malicious attacks continues to be a growing concern. With threats and attacks coming in all directions, your financial institution needs an extensive layered security approach.

We understand that security has a wide spectrum, touching every aspect of technology and network infrastructure. Our goal is to help customers build a layered security architecture, starting with our centralized and high availability internet defense solutions. Partnering with Dell SecureWorks, we provide around the clock protection, monitoring, and analysis of critical firewall and intrusion detection/prevention systems. This information is available to customers via dashboards and reports, through the Dell SecureWorks and MyBITS Community (portal).

And, we don’t stop there. Through other strategic partnerships, BITS provides customized cloud based solutions to provide more protection from growing web and application based threats with Cloud Based Web Security, also known as URL/Content filtering. This solution is customizable to your institution’s policies, and managed by the customer.

Relationship based account management

We develop relationships with our customer and know them by name, not by account number. Our Network Solution provides customers with a single point of contact for invoices, outages and escalations.

In times of outages, we know how frustrating it is dealing with carriers yourself. Let us handle it for you, BITS has a greater influence when escalating outages, when compared with a community financial institution trying to escalate with a carrier directly. Our solution also allows your IT manager to go on vacation without their time off being interrupted to assist in network outages. And, we understand that time is money! By using our network service, you are free to focus on managing your business rather than managing your technology.

Our network and services are designed to provide full network redundancy and automatic failover ensuring optimal business continuity and service availability.

With voice and collaboration services fully dependent on the underlying network, the ability to provide high availability is crucial. We don’t just stop at the network either. Internet access, and many of our third party connections are designed to provide a fully dynamic failover no matter what component of the solutions is impacted.

To test this, we perform annual datacenter and service availability testing, with reports provided to customers, and we encourage our customers to schedule individual testing with our Customer Service Center.
